Database Lookup

Run names and registration plates through the law enforcement database.

The law enforcement database is your window into who you're dealing with. Run a person's name or a vehicle's registration to learn more about them, check for flags, and decide how to proceed.

Running a Name

Once you've obtained the identity of a driver or another person, run their name through the database. The lookup shows you key characteristics of their identity, including:

  • Name, address, and date of birth.
  • Driver's license status.
  • Whether they hold a firearm's license.
  • Any outstanding warrants or alerts known to police.

Vehicle Registration

Don't forget to check the vehicle's registration during a traffic stop. You might find a registered owner different from the driver in front of you — or discover the vehicle itself has been reported stolen.

Issuing Citations

Not every situation calls for an arrest. When you come across a civilian who has broken the law and is subject to a fine, you can issue a citation through the interaction menu and choose from a number of misdemeanor offences to cite them for.
