The Los Santos Police Department (LSPD) is where every officer begins their career. As the metropolitan force of San Andreas, the LSPD is the busiest and most varied department, putting you right in the heart of the action.
Who They Are
Modelled on the real-world Los Angeles Police Department, the LSPD is a city police force. It's the department all new characters start in, and the proving ground where you'll learn the ropes before earning the right to transfer elsewhere.
Jurisdiction
The LSPD patrols the city of Los Santos — its downtown districts, residential neighbourhoods, and busy urban streets, which make up Zone 1. Expect a high volume of calls covering everything from traffic violations to serious crimes in a dense, fast-paced environment.
Serving in the LSPD
You'll deploy from an LSPD station, draw your gear from the armoury, and head out on patrol across the city. As you put in the hours and climb the ranks, you'll unlock more of the department's uniforms, equipment, and vehicles.
