Departments

Jurisdictions

How jurisdiction zones are divided across the map and who patrols where.

San Andreas is divided into jurisdiction zones, and each department is responsible for its own patch of the map. Knowing who covers where helps you understand which calls you'll respond to and where you fit in once you transfer departments.

The Three Regions

The map is split into three colour-coded regions:

  • The City (blue): the dense urban heart of Los Santos.
  • Los Santos County (green): the suburban and outlying areas surrounding the city.
  • Blaine County (orange): the rural towns, desert, and wilderness to the north.

Who Patrols Where

Each department's jurisdiction is built from these regions:

Department Jurisdiction Coverage
LSPD Zone 1 The City
LSSD Zone 2 The City + Los Santos County
BCSO Zone 3 Greater Blaine County
SAHP All Zones Everywhere

Working Across Zones

Callouts are tied to these zones, so the department you serve in shapes the kind of work you'll see day to day. As you transfer between departments, you'll get to experience policing across every corner of San Andreas. To learn how to move between them, see the Department Transfers guide.
