Departments
The BCSO serves rural Blaine County to the north.
The Blaine County Sheriff's Office (BCSO) takes you out of the city entirely and into the rural north. It's the other department you can transfer to after the LSPD, offering a very different pace of policing.
Modelled on the real-world San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department, the BCSO is a rural county sheriff's office with its own distinct character, uniforms, and vehicle fleet suited to the terrain it covers.
The BCSO serves Zone 3 — Blaine County, the rural towns, desert, and wilderness to the north of Los Santos. Patrols here cover wide, open areas with longer distances between calls and a different set of challenges to the city.
Like the LSSD, the BCSO becomes available once you reach the transfer milestone in the LSPD. After transferring you'll begin again at Rank 1 and work your way up. The Department Transfers guide covers how it all works.
